What exactly is a pearled sand candle, and how is it different from a regular candle?
Pearled sand candles are made of tiny wax granules that look like decorative sand. Instead of being poured into a mold, the wax is loose and reusable. Only the wax touching the wick melts as it burns, which makes these candles more customizable, interactive, and longer-lasting than traditional poured candles.
How long does a wick last?
That depends on its length. Billur Wicks provides you full-length wicks that you can use as it is or cut them into pieces as per your needs. A full length wick in a deep container ( like BW diyas) could last even upto 13 to 15 hours. While the burn time for shorter wicks might vary.
How should I place the wick for the best burn time?
Always place the wick in the center of your container and press it down gently into the sand so it stands firm. Leave only 1/4th of the wick outside. A centered wick ensures an even melt and prevents tunneling. If you’re using a wide container, add two or more wicks spaced apart for an even burn across the surface.
Can I reuse the wax sand after burning the candle?
Yes! Simply remove the old wick base, insert a fresh wick, and reuse the remaining wax. You can also mix in new colors or fragrances, making each burn a fresh experience.
Can I mix colors and fragrances in my candle sand?
